Tawny Palmieri, a standout athlete from Peabody High School, made her mark in collegiate softball first at Division 1 UMass Amherst playing for a top 25 ranked team in the nation from 2008-2010, which lead to being part of two A-10 league championships along with two NCAA regional appearances. From there transferring to Merrimack College from 2010-2013, where she lead the team to the Super Regional’s in 2011 and was named team captain.
Her legacy at Merrimack includes multiple NE-10 All-Conference and All Region honors as well as recognition as an NCAA Division 2 All-American. Transitioning to coaching, Palmieri achieved remarkable success, amassing a 71-14 record over four seasons at Peabody High. Under her guidance, the team reached impressive heights, including numerous tournament appearances, conference championships, and a memorable 2022 State Division 1 final.
Prior to her tenure at Peabody, Palmieri coached as a grad school assistant at Salem Sate University, then moved onto head coaching where she led the newly-revived Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School and then Melrose High School softball teams to tournament berths before getting to Peabody.
Tawny resides and teaches in Peabody, MA and continues to give back to the softball community everyday by Head Coaching at Stoneham High School now, being involved as President of Peabody Little League softball and helping her nieces little league teams. She founded this program with her brother in 2022.

Gary Palmieri - Grew up in Peabody, MA and was part of the 2002 graduating class of Peabody High School. Inducted into the Peabody High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2018 for excelling as a three sport athlete in football, hockey, and baseball. Gary, was a three year varsity starter and two time league all-star in baseball at first base and DH.
He continued his education and sports career at Endicott College and graduated in 2007 with a degree in Physical Education. During his time there he was a multiple year starter on the football and baseball teams. Gary was a part of Endicott’s most successful baseball team ever at that time winning the Commonwealth Coast Conference Title and then earning the programs first ever win at the New England Regional level in 2004.
After his playing career ended, he began his coaching career in softball at the high school level as an assistant to his sister Tawny as well as a head coach in Little League Softball. His coaching accomplishments at the high school level include multiple league titles, two MIAA final four appearances, and a division 1 MIAA state championship appearance. His coaching career at the Little League level has spanned from the youngest division of tee ball up to the majors division were he has had success in winning 2 league championships along with 2 district titles.
Gary, currently resides in Peabody, MA and has three daughters that all play softball Olivia, Luccia, and Bobbi. He is a Co-Founder of and currently the New England Beasts 12U Head Coach. Along with his passions for coaching he is a veteran educator of seventeen plus years as a Health and Physical Education teacher.

Anthony Palmieri, grew up in Peabody, MA and was part of the 2003 graduating class of Peabody High School. Inducted into the Peabody High School Hall of Fame in 2013 for excelling as a three sport athlete in Football, Hockey, and Baseball. Anthony, was a three year varsity starter in high school baseball as a pitcher and outfielder. Anthony, is one of only a handful of pitchers to throw a no hitter in the Peabody High School record books.
He continued his education at Salem State University and graduated in 2008 with a degree in Education. During his time there as a freshman, he was coming off of a rehabilitation year from Tommy John surgery and would become a three year starter in his sophomore year as an outfielder. In 2006, Anthony helped lead the Salem State University team that posted a 34-8 record, leading them to a MASCAC championship and their first ever win in a New England Regional Tournament game. Anthony ended his career at Salem State with a .300 plus batting average over his last three seasons and was recognized as MASCAC all conference player.
After Anthony’s career playing, he continued his coaching career in softball at the high school level as an assistant to his sister Tawny who was a division 1 standout and All-American third baseman that played at UMass Amherst and Merrimack College. His coaching career at the high school level includes multiple league titles, two MIAA final four appearances, and a division 1 MIAA state championship appearance.
Anthony, currently resides in Peabody, MA and has two children Julian and Sophia. He is currently the New England Beasts 10U Head Coach. Along with coaching he is a veteran educator of fifteen plus years in the Health and Physical Education field.
